The last major battleships of the US Navy were the Iowa-class ships, which included the sister ships BB-61 Iowa and BB-62 New Jersey. However, the most famous of the Iowa-class battleships was the BB-63 Missouri. With a colossal 212,000 HP, the heavily armed vessel could reach a top speed of 33 knots. Its main armament consisted of nine 16" guns distributed across three treble towers, with a maximum range of up to 40 km.

The Iowa-class ships were 270.4 m long and had a relatively narrow hull of a maximum of 33 m, allowing them to pass through the Panama Canal without any further problems. The USS Missouri was put into service in 1944 and participated in numerous operations during the Pacific War. On September 2, 1945, the Treaty of Unconditional Capitulation of Japanese Armed Forces was signed aboard the USS Missouri.

With the outbreak of the Korean War in June 1950, the USS Missouri was deployed with its sister ships for fire support and was eventually banished to the reserve service in 1955. In 1986, the ship was completely renovated, modernized, and equipped with the latest state-of-the-art weapons technology. In the Gulf War in 1991, the Missouri was deployed one last time and went into well-deserved retirement in 1993 after nearly 50 years of service.

Regarding the detailed model kit in scale 1:700, it is important to note that the kit does not include tools, glue, or paints, and these must be purchased separately. Additionally, international products may have separate terms, be sold from abroad, and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling, or instructions.
