The US Navy's 3rd Iowa class battleship, which has been refitted for service in the Gulf War in 1991, features a range of updated kit components. This includes new tool features such as the bridge area, Tomahawk launcher deck, aft bridge deck, funnel, aft funnel mast, radar dome, No.1 turret ventilator, Mk.37 gun director, deck ventilator, and RQ-2 Pioneer. The model also boasts a single-piece full hull, detailed deck surfaces with engraved plank texture, a fully rendered superstructure, fine deck fittings, and an updated weapons suite. The latter comprises Harpoon and Tomahawk missile launchers, Phalanx CIWS, and SRBOC rocket launchers.

Further details include a filigree mast lattice, a choice of extended or stowed rotors for the SH-60B helicopters, ship's boats, a display stand with nameplates, metal propeller shafts, and stainless steel wire for rigging Dicone-Cage antennae.
